Written by Anushka Kar, Blind Faith is a short film that, through the teenage friendship of Jamie and Winnie, explores the strange in-between of grief and healing, and the search for something to believe in.

It is Jamie's first birthday after the death of her father, and she finds herself adrift in the strange lull that follows grief- post memorial, but before true processing begins. Winnie, her childhood best friend, must support Jamie through this time while also battling her own mental health issues. 

The film also asks questions that resonate deeply with anyone who has ever tried to care for someone in pain while also grappling with their own vulnerabilities: How do we take care of someone when we can barely take  care of ourselves? How do we rebuild meaning in our lives when everything feels lost? Whether it's in each other, in the universe or anything we can grasp onto, how do we find faith?

Blind Faith is a film about the importance of small moments, quiet acts of care, and the resilience found in human connection. It is a testament to the strength of friendship, and a reminder that even in the darkest times, there is always room for a little faith.

In a world that feels increasingly disconnected, we see a tender exploration of how we can still rebuild, one step at a time.
